Repin-instituutti Art Education program in Kotka (Finland) is an independent Art Program which is arranged by Kymenlaakso Summer University. Our Art Program is designed for those aiming to establish an artistic practice, career in field of art and design or ambitious independent students. The program helps you develop the in-depth technical skills needed to take your art practice forward.
The program is focused on Classical Art. Studies consist of daily work in the areas of classical painting, drawing, plastic anatomy, perspective, technology of painting and composition. The Repin-instituutti program will be provided by the teachers who are all practising artists themselves and have a background in academic painting and drawing.
Lessons are held mainly in Russian and interpreter services will be utilised in the course of the instruction. The number of lessons is 32–40 per week.
The semester begins on 29 August 2022 and ends on 19 May 2023.
Studies takes place in the picturesque surroundings and premises of the Kymenlaakso Summer University in Kotka.

Student fee for wholte semester 2022-2023 is 3000 eur.
You can apply also for modules instead of whole semester.

Applications
You can apply for the education by submitting a free-form application and motivation letter together with your CV and a minimum of five and a maximum of ten samples of your work. The work samples can be in the form of photos, slides or actual artworks.
